Hello again.

Yahoooooo. We have great news, you and your monsoon image and/or timelapse has been selected by our juror to be included in the Brill Gallery & Studio Monsoon show opening September 20th & 21st, 2024 6-10pm and closing October 18th, 2024 6-10pm. We are so excited to have you be part of a very talented group of photographers from around the state.

So what's next?

A lot...but we are here to walk you though it step by step.

  • You can do that by Venmo or PayPal. Along with your payment please include your full name and include "Monsoon show artist payment" in the message.

    It's $35 dollars per image and or timelapse selected.

    QR codes are below Step 6 for quick links to these payment processing options.

  • Presentation of your images is very important. Due to the amount of images in the show, the finished size of your image should be no larger than 30x40 and must be hung by a wire.

    You can be creative here on how you present the image in the gallery but remember that the presentation of the image is just as important as the image itself. We recommend printing on metal or traditional print/mat and frame. Printing directly on foam or gatorboard will not be accepted this year. You really want to present your photography in a way that the buyer can take it off the gallery wall and put it direct in there home or office. Remember the final product can not be larger than 30x40. We are happy to help give you guidance in the final presentation of your image.

    We have teamed up with Phoenix Photo Lab again for printing and they have given us a discount "code" to use when ordering/checkout. Get 40% off of our Professional Photo Paper prints (Enhanced Matte, Lustre, or Glossy) on standard print sizes.

    Phx Photo Lab can also matt/frame or give you other ideas to present your images. And of course you can use your own print shop if you like.

    Images must be delivered to Brill Gallery & Studio by September 13th so we have time to prepare the gallery for the big night. Remember you will record your QR audio intros at this time as well so come prepared.

  • Please email Andrew (owner) at apielage@gmail.com to set up a time to drop off the finished artwork (with wire) record your short QR audio story. Both of these must be done by September 13th. Images must be picked up at the end of the show by October 31st, 2024.

    We want the gallery to be more than a visual space, that's why we have included audio QR codes for each image again this year. It's really a great time to share the BTS of your photo. It's always more interesting to hear directly from the photographer, so come prepared with some thoughts on your image. Some ideas:

    How did you got the shot?

    What lead up to pushing the shutter button down to take the shot?

    Did you almost die? =)

    How long have you been storm chasing?

    What equipment do you use?

    You don't have to talk about all of these , they are just ideas for you.

  • Again, it takes a village and the Brill Gallery & Studio is community based. Our goal is to bring photographers together each month to celebrate our fellow creatives as well as meet other photographers from around the state. It's also a space for non photographers to come together and talk about photography. We want the community to come be involved in your creative journey so inviting your friends/ family/ co-workers etc is the best way to do that.

    Having your people RSVP also helps us plan better for the opening nights.

    This will be written on the Confirmation Email / Ticket as well, but please do let them know to bring headphones so they can listen to the story you and others will be telling about your photographs using the QR codes.

    We will be providing you some social media visuals for you to help promote the show. Those are coming soon.

    We also have a small entrance fee to come see the art. A lot of things are needed to pull of this show and that small entrance fee helps us with those costs. You, as the artist will not have to pay and you will also receive two free passes to get anyone two people in for free. Those will be emailed to you when we get closer to opening night.
