Mariacka is a charming cobbled street in Gdansk, Poland stretching from St. Mary’s Basilica (end of photo) to the Motława River (behind me) and is flanked by two rows of terraced tenement houses.
By day it showcases the most prestigious Amber dealers in all of Poland. Amber is a big deal in this region. But if you get there really early in the morning, it’s only the local neighbors and the occasional dog walker. This is when you truly experience the charm of the street. I was lucky enough to get the street to myself for about 30 minutes. One of the most beautiful streets I’ve seen or photographed. Image shot on @apple iPhone 15.
