Raymond Carlson And His Frank Lloyd Wright House - Interior

Frank Lloyd Wright’s Raymond Carlson House Interior. Phoenix, Arizona

Not a Frank Lloyd Wright design you see everyday and interior images are even harder to come by, so I felt very thankful the owners of the house were willing to allow me to photograph for my #500fllwproject. It is an interesting and inexpensive approach to the design. Based on 4 by 4 wood posts and Masonite infill panels. Definitely alittle tight moving around the three tiered design but it’s a design I have come to love.

Annnnnnd yes, the blue is odd but (kinda) original. Below is the original color rendering of the house. Although the blues aren’t the same, maybe it’s more grayish but the thought is there. Wright is so known for blending colors of the land…maybe he wanted to blend with the (always) blue skies of Arizona? Remember Marin County Civic Center’s roof is blue and there are features at Taliesin West that are the same blue. What do you think?

Thanks again to the owners and I am excite this one is now part of the #500fllwproject.
